my hr20 suffered from spontaneous reboots so instead of waiting a week for some hack truck roll and wheel of misfortune dvr replacement I shopped costco for a new dvr. one location had the hr21-700 but all of them had the seal open so I didnt purchase from there, the other location had all of the boxes sealed but once I got it home to install it I noticed it was the hr21-200. is there a difference aside from manufacturers? once activated it did not see the 103a sat, then notified me an update was ready and once applied there now seem to be 2 99 sats and 2 103 sats. I think the letters after them are 's' and 'c'. so again aside from the lack of built in ota, what differences will I see?

There is no difference other than the manufacturer, and yes the satellites are labeled slightly differently in later releases. If you don't need OTA then you should be quite satisfied.
