Swap the questionable HDMI cable for one you know works. If you have another DVR try it with the HDMI cable. Past experience tells me that other DBSTALK experts will have other ideas. So stand by for additional news and information. Best wishes!
I could not have said it better myself. Actually, I think I did or there is an echo in this thread. :lol:The Merg said:Not sure if either of those posts relate to the OP.
@OP: Your best is to try a new HDMI cable or swap it with one from another DVR. You can also try a different HDMI input on the TV in case the input is failing. While it might seem like a handshake issue, if that was the case, you would not have audio either.

My HT with a denon 2012 reciever shows up GUI fine. In fact, I work for an HT installer / D* dealer and we only use denon recievers. Never seen this on any tvs."rotohead" said:Since the 0x5cd software update (5/17 for my HR22-100) I can't get the volume gui generated by my Denon AVR to display on my Pany HDTV. It initially displays just fine when I first turn on the HR but once I change channels it's gone until I power cycle either the tv or the HR. It's definitely a handshake issue involving the new software and doesn't affect the picture or audio.
