First off the welcome screen shouldn't be red, it's blue.patseguin said:

New hr24 won't do software update
I just replaced an hr22 with an hr24 and made sure I was connected to the Internet. I reset it and hit 02468 so it would update to the new hi and it doesn't even do any software check at all. I am typing the code at the initial red welcome screen. My old receiver took the update and so did my h24 in my bedroom. What am I doing wrong?
