New Install HD DVR and the need for 2 coax lines?

2362 Views 13 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  Nodes of Ranvier
I am having my system installed next week. Now I only have one coax coming into house(one hole in wall) for my current cable setup. Now with the HD DVR I know you need two lines coming in from the dish, but what about when the coax is indoors running to receiver? Can they use one single wall outlet? Do they split the line and run two coax to the receiver? My wife does not want any other holes drilled "anywhere"(her words).
Also Would they charge me extra to run another line from the dish to the basement for future use? I will not be getting another receiver just yet.

how soon does DTV update the website after making changes to your account?
Orders can take up to 24 hours to show modifications but your installation date should have already moved.
