make sure the 622 is connected to a land based phone. hope you know that tv 2 on the 622 is sd. an off-air ant will bring in hd locals if you are close enough to the towers apxrom. 40-60 miles max, where the ant is on the outside of house is best. free hd local programming is always nice. hope that helps a little. pray that you get a good installer.torquilcleric said:

I'm getting ready to move to an area that will receive HD Indy locals (when they go live) and I'm a little confused on what I need to ask for during the install, to ensure that I get the equipment that will be needed when the locals go HD.
I want to get a VIP622 for one room, and a VIP211 (normal HD box) for another. Will this require the DISH1000? Are there any other considerations that I should bring up to the installer?

In some markets, don't you need a OTA antenna to get the locals in HD?
