I just got my brand new NFL remote and it won't control my HR21. I've tried both the 00001 and 00002 codes and neither works.

I don't think the remote is defective as it controls my Sony TV just fine.

Any ideas?

Do you have it set for DIRECTV or AV1/AV2? If you have it set for AV1/AV2 the code is 00003, not 00002. The on screen instructions are wrong.

But I gave up on IR. I changed it to RF and everything is working fine now.
