When I got direct tv with my new Vizio PHD50 2 yrs ago the installer programmed my remote and it worked fine except for the tv input.

Now I just replaced my vizio with a Panasonic TH-C50FD18 (Costco) which is the same as the TH-50PZ80U. I've tried so many codes, from the ezremote link and I can't get anyone to work and I tried both Panny model numbers.

Has anyone gotten this to work -- I have my receiver working on av2 and dvd on av1 no problem.

I would appreciate any suggestions, Thnx

Thanks Spanky but it did not work, I can format it , change channel using the numbers or the chan up down but I can't control the volume or the tv input button with the RC64R remote.

any other suggestions?

try the following to get the volume:

1. tv
2. press and hold MUTE & SELECT for two blinks
3. enter 9 9 3
4. press SELECT

To get the tv input:

1. tv
2. press and hold MUTE & SELECT for two blinks
3. enter 9 6 0

I was just able to try it today and it worked like a charm.

Perfect! Worked perfect for a Panasonic 46" TH-46PZ80U. Allowed me to control input with the TV Input button on the directv remote.
