New Slimline Dish Question

Does the new Slimline dish work any better than the old style Ka dishes? I recently got one and wondered if it was worth swapping them out. Other than appearance, Any difference? Thanks.

I haven't seen any side-by-side comparisons yet, but there's no reason to believe that the Slimline would perform better or worse than the AT9 5-LNB dish.

Before you switch record readings, then when you setup slimline compare new with old. Post your results. Keep old AT-9 in case it works better.
I know my slimline works better then the 3LNB it replaced. I could do no better then lower 90's on most 101, 119,110 transponders. I now have upper 90's and 100's.
With a larger reflector than the Phase 3, it could have higher gain. It depends on how much of the dish the feed horn sees. Likewise, the AT-9 *could* have a bit more gain than the Slimline. It probably wouldn't mean much in terms of rain fade in either case, however.
