new unit can't download 010b software

Ok, i have 2 Hd tivo units but finally bit the bullet and bought a new HR20 at Best Buy today since i didn't want to wait a month for one from Directv. Anyway got the unit activated and everything seemed ok until i rebooted the unit. The screen scearching for new software (010b) came up and i figured great that's what i wanted to happen. Well it has now been doing this for 3 hours the download bar never goes above 0% although there are numbers in the upper left counting something. The screen continues doing this until it times out with a "cannot download software: screen and asks to push the red reset button to try again....and i do and it starts all over again. Not a great start for me and the HR20. any comments? HELP!

Try a format on the unit

First press the red reset button under the HR20's front right access panel.
As it reboots, press and hold the Left Arrow and the Record button at the same time on the front panel.
When the Record Light changes to red, let go of the buttons."
Try swapping the sat input connections and also try taking off the b-band converter boxes if you have them connected.
Thanks for your comments....well after a while on hold for a tier 2 tech support it was determined that of course of all the units I could have grabbed in Best Buy the one I picked was defective. To make a long story short..already returned the unit brought home the new one and the software is currently downloading as we speak. Now If I can just get over the big change from a Tivo unit (especially from the wife) and some of the glitches I have read about we will be talking.
