Ok guys
I have been a DirTV sub. for a few years now, and have been running the TiVo DVR. I absolutely love the TiVo interface.
I just bought a 50" Sony HD TV, and am going to upgrade to DirTV HD.
From what I understand, Dtv doesnt support TiVo anymore.
I know the HR10-250 is the last Dtv HD TiVo box, that I could find from a private seller, but from what I've read, this wont support my local's in HD?????
Or, my other option is the new Dtv DVR HR20-700 or something. Does this support all the locals?
My main question, is whats the best way to get my locals in HD, as the Dtv HD pkg is kinda a joke with just 5 channels. I'm mainly interested in the Locals in HD.
I've also heard about OTA antennas and such.

Right, the HR10-250 can only receive local HDTV channels using an over-the-air antenna. The new HR20 HD DVR can receive the new Ka-band MPEG4 satellites that provide local HDTV channels via satellite to many major cities, including San Francisco.

No. If your TV has an ATSC/HDTV tuner, then you can connect your OTA antenna to the TV and watch your local HDTV channels directly on your TV.
