I had the 622 installed yesterday and was trying to record a show and watch another show last night. When the recording started it took me to that channel and if I tried to change it told me the recording would be stopped. I thought I could record one channel and watch another? Would it have anything to do with my 2nd TV?

Thanks for any help

I think if you want to do what you tried you need to have the receiver set to single mode.

In Dual mode you can record the program on tuner 2 so you can continue to watch a sat or OTA channel on TV1 using tuner 1. Or, if you have OTA channels you can record on either a tuner 1 sat channel or an OTA channel and watch the other, while TV2 is still available. Or record up to three programs (with OTA) while watching a record program. Lots of options.

I don't have OTA channels at all. So I need to set it to single or dual mode so I can watch one channel while recording another? Still a bit confused.

If you are in single mode, press the swap button then you can change to any satellite channel you wish. Otherwise, you are still on the same tuner and it will try to stop the recording to change channels on that same tuner.
