Newbie Sunday Ticket Question

I signed up for the "get the Premier package free if you pay for 4 mos. of ST" when I switched to D* in July. My question is the end of the 4 mos. is like Nov. 1 - football season will not be over. If I decide to switch back to a regular package at that point, will I get the ST for the rest of the season?

Sunday Ticket is usually a "seasonal subscription". Are you sure it wasn't 4 monthly payments (totaling either $249 or $269, I think) ??

The way the offer usually works is you pay for the season for Sunday Ticket, and get 4 months of Premier for free/reduced rate. After the 4 months are up, you pay the regular Premier rate, or can downgrade your package.

Yes, you will keep the ST until the season is over, even if you downgrade.

You're paying four $75 installments of the Sunday Ticket package, and once it's paid in full it's still yours. It's just like if you paid the full $300 up front.
Thanks, you guys. That clears it up!

I figure I'll post here rather than making a new thread. I have been doing searches to understand this & that about Sunday Ticket.

I like some of the features that come with SuperFan, but it looks like ST in general is for getting games out of your market? I live in Austin, TX, and like to watch Dallas and Houston play. I have only had cable before this, but am I going to miss out on any games w/o ST? Obviously, if they play it on a major network, I'll get it there. I guess this covers basically any game outside of Texas that I wouldn't have otherwise gotten?

I like to watch GB games on occasion, as I have some extended family that are huge fans, and I like to do some **** talking, but its hard to justify such a cost for that, and perhaps some of the extra features of SF.

Does the entire package boil down to getting games out of market?

Mark
Yes the main purpose for sunday ticket is to get out of market games you wouldn't otherwise be able to see. The super fan adds the HD channels, a mix channel that shows 8 games simultaneously, supercast which allows you to view games on your computer/phone, Redzone channel and short cuts (games cut down to nothing but the actual plays).

reasons to get sunday ticket:

1 - watching your favorite team every week thats isnt in your home town.
2 - without it getting stuck watching the home town team when they are 3-8 instead of another good game that is then blacked out.
3 - watching other games that u may have $$ on.
4 - without it having only 1 game to watch at either 1:00 or 4:15....ugg.
5 - in ny because of giants & jets there are multiple sunday afternoons of only 2 games.
6 - cbs/fox "flex block" 5 good games each so they will not move to primetime & u may not see them.
