Info and Questions:
1. Heard on Los Angeles news radio this morning on way to work. I called Direct and I got the run around from reps who said everyone gets $150 ($10 a month in programming credits). Seemed like they didn't know. Anyone know? What is the truth. I'm thinking about switching.
2. Costco will also give you $50 to join Direct, plus you get a HD receiver free with Mail in rebate. For those of us that want more HD receivers and Dish won't give more than 2, you can buy them at Costco for like 84.99. Their HD DVR is more expensive than the $199 deal with Dish, but with the $150 back if true, its not bad at all.
3. They are $4.99 per month per receiver for each one after one, whereas Dish is 6.00 per month.
4. I don't know about what if something goes wrong with Dish and Direct receivers? Is there a monthly fee like a service agreement around $5?
