My understanding was that that addition of a TIVO receiver will have no impact on DirecTV's production of DVR's. They will continue to make their own brand of DVR's, which means that if they were planning on releasing a new DVR for say, mid-2009, it would not be scrapped because TIVO will be releasing theirs in November 2009 (FYI I Have no dates, just using these dates for examples.)Sirshagg said:

I haven't heard of anything at this time, but we're now 2 years into the HR20, 1 year into the HR21 (updated chipset & underlying OS) ..
