NFL ST Recording Botched

I'm pretty sure I've read about the HR 20 having trouble with recording NFL ST broadcasts; something like it deletes the recording once the broadcast of the game is over and the screen goes blank (which it does for a considerable amount of time since there's 4 and 1/2 hours designated for each game). But I had a problem with a recording that was somewhat different. I was recording the Steelers-Raiders game in SD (still can't believe the Steelers gave that game away to the Raiders!), came in about 2 hours into the recording and tried to start watching it. I just got a blank screen. I tried to fast forward a bit through it, but it wouldn't work.

I switched to my HR10 to watch the game there (I always back up recordings I really care about on my HR 10 even though this is the first time I've had a recording completely botched by the HR 20). After the game was over I went back to the HR 20 to see if I could watch the recording there, but when I tried the receiver froze. Even the red button wouldn't restart it; I had to unplug the machine. When it powered back up the NFL ST recording had disappeared from my list of recordings (which sounds very similar to other problems with recordings I've read about).

Anyway, does this sound like a problem others have had? It's the first time I've had a dropped recording on this machine (actually, the first significant problem I've had, period, with the machine which I've had for a month and a few days) and I thought it significant that it occured with an NFL ST recording.
