I get the authorization for ST on Ch. 112 right now- 'You are all set to enjoy 2021 NFL Sunday Ticket every Sunday' with the ST logo below it.

I checked 'My Programming' online and it says 'NFL SUNDAY TICKET MAX 2021 $0.00'.

I click on the 'X' after that and it pops up and says 'You are unable to remove this online. Please call customer service at 1-800-531-5000'. I had ST Max last year but removed the auto-renew back in February off my account.

I then check my recent activity and there's two entries-

07/11/2021 XXXXXXXX1111 NFL SUNDAY TICKET MAX 2021 HD - Charge $0.00 $0.00
07/11/2021 XXXXXXXX1111 NFL SUNDAY TICKET MAX 2021 - Charge $0.00 $0.00

A recent different thread contains others here with the same success story. It's like winning a small lottery to me (savings of $415.15), and no multiple fricking phone calls needed this year! Again- good luck to all. :thumbsup:

I think you'll find that these entries are "place holders" for the 1st payments due on your next billing cycle.
I might be wrong, hopefully I am for your sakes...

I just got my bill yesterday and I'm guessing you are indeed wrong-

Well, here is what is interesting.....I called them, told them m problem, then they transferred me to a member of the "NFL Team". She told me that I had authorized, and after the call channel 112 showed me as no longer authorized.
She told me that I would have been charged for Sunday Ticket had I not called. Of course, I was told in February when I called that auto renew was off and we know how that turned out.
I'll call in August and see if they will throw me a bone. I have been with DirecTV since September 1994.

Are you on Legacy DirecTV billing or morphed over to ATT billing?

Yea me too, but ONLY since 1998! At least I got it in writing on the DirecTV iPhone chat earlier. I'll use this when I file a complaint with the BBB when they start charging me like Comp says will happen. A loyalty CSR at the 9077 number also told me earlier today that I will not be charged and put notes into my account just in case I was on a future billing statement.

I got on the DTV chat yesterday, asked about Sunday Ticket Max, Jenny said I would be getting it for free, been a valued customer, Proactive Loyalty Offer free for this season. Hopefully its true, she said rest assured I will be getting it for free. Been with DTV since 1995, never have I gotten it for free without asking? Maybe this is their farewell gift to me?

Save the chat transcript. That will be part of your opening statement to the BBB should they start charging you the monthly fee.

Just a FYI- that's the exact same answer I got, and have it in writing just in case. The only other caveat my loyalty rep told me was that some of those who paid for it last year, are getting it this year for free. :thumbsup:

Add my sister to the STMax email received list- she’s been a DirecTV sub for 6 years now, and add my brother too as he’s been a sub since 1998. Both are on ATT billing.

Maybe the email is going to customers who are not under contract?

My commitment ends in early June, 2022.

It’s sometimes hard to understand what their algorithms are. It definitely still beats the alternative by me- Spectrum TV. They don’t give any deals on anything, hence I stay with DirecTV.

Chat has a newer feature in which if you have an iPhone, you can text directly back and forth with a DirecTV CSR on it. For the small percentage of people in this world who don’t have Twitter, Facebook, etc. like me, I found it to be much better than a standard chat session at a computer.

My first email from DirecTV for free STMax this year came on August 6th with the Deathstar logo.

I got a second email today titled ‘A big gift from DirecTV’ which indicates basically the same as the first email, but with the new logo.

He doesn't. Everyone knows from his previous posts that his current provider sucks and he has outages all the time for the money he's paying every month. No different than Spectrum Broadband at my house with outages more frequent and lengthy than not, and no backups on their systems when utility power goes out. He'd be happy paying full price w/o discounts for reliable fiber no different than anyone else in his position.

Fiber has the same exact issues People curse there FTTH providers on other forums

My experience is different- I've had Fiber at our lake property (2 hours away) for a couple years now since they upgraded all their u/g utility lines 5 years ago. It's flawless. The lowest tier is 150MB download for a flat $49.99/mth no taxes, no extra fees, nothing. It's thru Solarus up there serving several hick towns around/including Wisconsin Rapids.

It was free installation, free equipment, no rent charges and they provide a battery backup module for the modem/router in case of power outage. Earlier this year, they installed another router/extended to the other side of my compound at no charge.

Last Christmas, they sent every customer a $50 Visa gift card in the mail with a recommendation to support local businesses up there. No way in hell Spectrum or others would do that.

Everyone by me up there loves the Fiber. Never going to see it at my main home anytime soon.

Now back to football/Sunday Ticket- first game of the season on right now. So glad I didn't have to play CSR roulette as I got it for free this year and last year!

I haven’t watched shortcuts since they took them off the satellite a couple years back. That was a bulls#!t change by ATT.

As for the Packer game last night, I have the entire game recorded on two different IRD’s for future viewing, and the recordings don’t expire like most streaming TV services do! 😀
