I just got this in my email. What the crap are thy trying to pull. I dont want automatic anything ???

Automatic Subscription Renewal
Automatic Renewal saves you time and money!

Relax and experience the ease and convenience of Automatic Subscription Renewal. Here's how it works:

When you sign up for any DIRECTV sports subscription, you are automatically eligible for Auto Renewal when the next season comes around.
Without making a call or filling out a form, you will be signed up for the next season of your favorite sports subscription, provided DIRECTV carries the service again, at a special low price.
Your bill will show "Renewal — No Payment Due Yet" a few months prior to the start of the season. Your first installment will be due close to the start of the season.
All you have to do is keep your DIRECTV account in good standing and make sure all DIRECTV® Receivers are continuously connected to the same land-based phone line. A past due account or a receiver without a phone line may disqualify you for Automatic Renewal. Also, if you cancel your subscription before the season starts, you'll be ineligible for the special low price.

Sports subscriptions cannot be canceled, transferred, refunded, or credited (in part or in whole) after the season starts. To receive sports programming, a DIRECTV subscription is required and all DIRECTV Receivers must be continuously connected to the same land-based phone line. Sports subscriptions automatically continue each year at a special renewal rate, provided DIRECTV carries these services, unless subscriber calls to cancel prior to the start of the season. Commercial locations require an appropriate license agreement. Commercial signal theft is subject to civil and criminal penalties. Subscriptions subject to applicable sales tax.

Be prepared to call multiple times as it seems to be added back on each week! I had to call 3 times to get it off my account (showing on my bill and under my online sports subscriptions).

I just received an email today thanking me for renewing NFLST and that I would be charged starting in July. Not again?! I checked channel 107 and it still shows "not authorized" and it is not on my online account, so maybe the email was a carryover from the June billing, pre-notice.

I got this e-mail, but I'm already on the 11 payment plan.
I called a couple weeks ago because I wanted a $10 credit.
I was told my 11 payment plan would be the same price as the renewal.
When they were doing the early bird deal I called and wanted a credit.
I was told I couldn't get it.

Now, with this e-mail they have officially offered me the lower price.
I'll have to call again.

If they give me the run around; I may just cancel. I'm so sick of the nickel and diming on this stuff.

I got the e-mail yesterday, too.

They're offering me a 6-month payment plan. $41 & change for ST & $16 & change for SF. Ran the numbers and am planning on calling later today to cancel.

The cost is becoming prohibitive.
