Approximately one year ago I received an information packet from an NFL Sunday Ticket Litigation Settlement Administrator concerning a lawsuit that was instituted by two individuals who sought the right to purchase NFL Sunday Ticket on an ala carte weekly basis rather than subscribe for the entire season. This packet was mailed to any person who had subscribed to Sunday Ticket at any time from 1994 up to May of 2001. A tentative settlement had been reached whereby the package would be made available to those who only wished to purchase it on certain weekends for a price of $29.99 per week. There was also some sort of cash settlement proposed and the proceeds of that were to be distributed among all Sunday Ticket subscribers who returned an enclosed form. The amount paid to each subscriber was to be based upon how many people returned these forms and how many years each person had subcribed to the package. This proposed settlement was to be reviewed by a judge for final approval. I did not return my form because I felt that no harm had been done to me as I only want the package on a full season basis. Since that time I've never heard or read one word about this lawsuit and it's proposed settlement. I'm wondering if that's because I did not return my form. I am very interested in the final outcome of this matter and I wonder if any of you DBS Talk denizens have heard anything?
