I was thinking it would be nice if we didn't have multiple threads with the same topic being rehashed over and over again. We've seen an abundance of NFL Sunday Ticket/Superfan polls/threads in the past few weeks with the same themes.

I think it would keep the forums a little neater and the conversation a little more concentrated if we didn't start a new thread/poll about it every week. These are just a few of the threads that have been active in the last few weeks:

Poll: Cancelling ST, & SF HD?
Cancelled Sunday Ticket
NFL Sunday Ticket SuperFan
Poll: The free SF poll thread..lets everyone participate
Poll: How much would you pay for NFL ST/SF?
Poll: NFL ST/SF poll
Poll: How much would you pay for NFL ST w/HD games
I'm Calling today about NFL Sunday Ticket

Some may say that they're all different and have different topics, but generally they're about how SF should be included in the price or how the price is overinflated and needs to come down.

Disclaimer: I fully understand that:

1) It's a very popular option among DirecTV susbcribers and
2) I don't have to click on every thread

Does anyone else see the irony in starting a new thread to comment on this? :hurah:

Well I suppose I could have posted this message in each of those threads. :whatdidid

But, "Without deviation from the norm, progress is not possible." Do you like your irony served warm or cold? :D

Valid point tcusta00. But Im sure that if things get too out of hand the mods here will handle it.

I'm hesitant to do much about closing/merging these threads as many of them are introducing new concepts .. However, I will grant that it is getting a bit crazy.

I've been watching and will continue to watch .. at present what's here is OK but I may decide to merge or create a master thread. I suspect after a bit of time it will all go back to normal regardless of peoples choices.

Well, I had submitted this post

http://www.dbstalk.com/showthread.php?t=131730

a while back to keep track of all the different posts and asked that it be made a sticky. If some think this as beating a dead horse, then fine. Some people feel that D* pricing is absurd. The pain threshhold of $300 is too much for some subs. I really want the NFL ST this year but I was laid off by my company of 9 years and have been unemployed now for 2 months. Some people are doing so well in this economy that they will pay any price, some can not even hope to afford the NFL ST. Be very happy that you are able to spend this kind of $$$, on a sport and not worry that you have to find money to put food on the table for your family. Once I have a new job I probably will re-order the NFL ST. BUT, I will not pay $100 for the HD games. Loosing my job has allowed me a new perspective on life and to what is important to me. Our way of life is slowly crashing and we may never again be the same country in the eyes of the world.
Just my view.
let the flaming of my posts begin.....
