NFL Sunday Tix and No Base Pkg

Is it possible to have the NFL Sunday ticket but with no base package at all? I got a fantastic offer from my cable company for TV service (already have phone & internet). So I would like to have my regular basic pkg with my cable company (including locals, etc), and then just have NFL ST with DTV. Any thoughts?

my brother has been doing that for the past five years. This year I was going to try that and DTV told me they do not offer that any longer. This doesn't effect my brother because he's been locked in.
They haven't offered that for years. However those that used to have it years ago and kept it without any changes to their account are grandfathered and can keep it that way, again so long as they don't change anything on their account.

So the short answer is no, a new sub can't get ST without a base package and that's been the case for a long time.
You have to be grandfathered into this, you have to have had NFLST only since before 2000, I believe the year is.

I have had NFL ST since 2003 but have always had Total Choice with coupled with it, so sounds like i'm out of luck. Thanks
you have to at least pay for the family pack at 30 bucks...plus if you have an HD receiver you HAVE to pay 10 bucks for HD...even though you still have to get the asinine superfan for HD games...so the answer is you have to pay 40 bucks a month on top of the ST fees....o, plus TAX of course...

Not all locations have a satellite tax, and Ohio may be dumping theirs:

Lawmaker proposes cancelling state tax on satellite TV.

thanks newshawk, but im not holding my breath...and since the state is now fully cotrolled by the democrats, it won happen.

if they want to "level the playing field" take the stupid tax off BOTH cable and satellite...god forbid...
