NFL SundayTicket/Superfan Week #1 Schedule

Attached is the weekly NFL Schedule customized for DIRECTV's SundayTicket and Superfan subscribers. Red highlight games are 1080i, Blue highlight games are 720p broadcasts. The keyword "in-work" in the thread Title indicates there are still updates to be made; you might wait to download and customize your coffee table copy.

Time Zone Schedules
Attachments are provided for each Time Zone; please note the attachment names to download the correct PDF for your time zone.

Customize your Schedule
The PDF schedules are formatted with the 'typewriter tool' enabled, so you can edit in the channel numbers for the games provided by your local affiliates.

SundayTicket and Superfan Broadcasts
The rightmost column, the SundayTicket Section, provides the SundayTicket SD and Superfan HD assignments [Channels 704 through 717]. Channel numbers are the same for both the SD and HD broadcasts, but the HD channel has a "-1" (dash one) suffix. On your remote, the dash key is to the left of the 0 (zero) key.

National Game Broadcasts
You will need to pencil in, or edit in, your LIL (Local-Into-Local) CBS, FOX and NBC channel numbers for your local stations. In most cases (the rules are complex), DIRECTV is required to blackout a SundayTicket and/or Superfan game that duplicates programming offered by your local CBS or FOX affiliate.

Regional Game Broadcasts
Using TV Distribution Maps, you will know in advance which regional games your local CBS and FOX affiliates will be carrying and you can pencil in, or edit in, those updates on the schedule. This Link takes you to the website providing NFL TV Game Distribution Maps for both CBS and FOX. When your local affiliate broadcasts a game, DIRECTV is obligated to black it out on SundayTicket and Superfan (if your LIL offers HD) in your DMA. The DMA Maps are available late in the week preceding the games.

Local Game Broadcasts
Remember, NFL blackout rules apply: if a home game isn't sold out, your local station and DIRECTV are both required to black out that live game in your home DMA.

8/27 update restores team won/loss info, makes other cosmetic changes

This quote from member 'satelliteracer' yesterday, added a new twist to our SundayTicket/Superfan channels:

"...The challenge is that some customers with Sunday Ticket and HD who don't purchase SuperFan may have opted in their Guide to turn off duplicate SD channels (available in some HD boxes).

Well, that presents a challenge because in their guide they wouldn't see the SD Sunday Ticket channels at all as the guide would remove them with that setting employed. As a result, dash -1's are going to be used unless something else presents itself as an alternative."
Yup - You'll have a whole new NFL Season beginning in less than three weeks. Yeah, yeah - so I'm a little early with this first schedule.

At this point, it appears that the first three weeks of the season will be 100% HD! Everyone but CBS is total HD. We will have to see what CBS does as the season proceeds.
That SEA/BUF game looks very interesting. BUF looked awesome agains PIT this week (at least when the starters were in).

DAL/CLE also looks to be a great game.

Go AFC!

Good job, gct. Did you see the link on HD Sports Guide that shows CBS with all games in HD through week 3? That includes 8 HD games each in weeks 2 and 3.

I hope Buffalo crushes Seattle.
GCT, as always is looks soo fine! Awesome job.

And all in HD! Woohoo!

Cheers,
Tom
I was pleased to see every HD game with its own dedicated channel. Had to watch the beginning of some late games last year in SD waiting for the early HD game to finish. Always hated that.
It may be a stupid question, but what does the W and D stand for by the @ symbol between the two teams.
Thanks for all the hard work gct!!!

At least I know my Ravens will be in HD the first 4 weeks now.

There is a key on the paper, but D stands for Dome, and W stands for Weather. Don't ask me why/how this makes any difference, and why it's so important to tell people that on that TV schedule..

Because we all play fantasy football and it is important to know the facts...

If you play fantasy football and you don't know which teams play in a dome and which do not, you had better buy a magazine and read up.
Nice Thanks!

All I'm trying to do is assemble the most meaningful weekly schedule that's reasonably possible on a single sheet of paper. I can add or remove features to satisfy the greatest number of folks.

I have gotten the most positive feedback from folks who like the ability to enter in their LIL stations in Acrobat before they print. Apparently this one-page schedule gets tacked on the wall in a lot bars too!

The most requested addition is to include the announcers who are assigned to each game. But that unfortunately takes up too much geography...
