Anyone know what's going on with NHL Center Ice? I go to the order channel and it tells me that I am authorized (I have had NHLCI since 1995), but it won't autorecord the Isles @ Devils and Isles v. Blues games on Friday or Saturday. When I try to 1 touch record, it tells met that my receiver is "not authorized for this program, record anyway?"

Are the HR2x's going to screw up hockey season again?

I have the same exact issues. You are not alone.

However my friend, after attending the panther game monday, you may be better off not having authorization to watch the isles :) :) :)

You know that real fans watch their team regardless of the pain involved. It makes successful seasons much sweeter. :)

Actually, there is a pattern to every Isles season for the past decade. All the "experts" pick them to finish last. Then they "surprise everyone" when they narrowly make or miss the playoffs. You get used to it.

OK just tried it, but still no luck. I won't have time to go through CSR hell until Friday, so it looks like I won't get to see the season opener...:mad:

OK, I just spoke to the nicest and most competent CSR I have ever spoken to at D*. She tried resending authorizations, and she tried removing and re-adding NHLCI to my subscription. All to no avail. I mentioned that others here had experienced this problem, so she escalated it to the engineers to get it fixed by Friday.

Good luck to us all...

Well I am a Rangers fan but if this gets it doen I have to score one for the Isles.

I just got off the phone with a CSR. After a several resends and a reset, she basically gave up and gave me the worst made-up answer ever "you have to set up a manual record, thats how we're doing it this year. Just in case the program moves.". She tried to explain it to me several times, and it made the same amount of sense each time. Please say it ain't so.

Glad I'm not the only one having this problem. Tried to record Ranger game on Friday all the receiver does is beep at me I don't even get the "you are not authorized" message. NHL channels grayed, not in Channels I Get. Contacted D by email but received "iffy" response but did indicate forwarded to senior technician. Hopefully they will get this fixed soon!

I was just on the phone for AN HOUR with two reps trying to fix it and neither could. She eventually was told that it is a problem that is cropping up with many customers and they are working to fix it. It better be fixed by 10:30 ET tonight!

What doesn't make sense: Even if I had not subscribed to Center Ice, I should be getting it anyway because of the free preview.

Argh!

From what I can tell, you should be able to watch the games on the "greyed out" channels -- but setting up a recording on one of them doesn't work.

To record a game, it might be worthwhile to set up the recording on the actual RSN channel in the 600's than on the CI channel in the 700's.
