High Definition Network maintains a flexible schedule in order to feature top match ups as the race for the Stanley Cup begins

NEW YORK and DALLAS December 21st, 2006 - As the 2006-07 NHL season continues to unfold, HDNet announces their high-definition NHL schedule for January, featuring marquee match-ups from all around the league. The network will maintain a flexible schedule over the remainder of the season, announcing coverage on a month-to-month basis

"We're keeping our schedule as flexible as possible for the second half of the season," said Mark Cuban, president and chairman of HDNet. "By doing this, we're able to make sure that our viewers see not only the hottest match-ups in the NHL, but also games that will definitely carry Stanley Cup playoff implications."

In January, HDNet viewers will get the chance to see one of the league's top goal scorers, Brendan Shanahan and his red hot Rangers teammate Jaromir Jagr as they take on the Flyers in New York on January 4th. On the 6th, two of the league's most exciting goal scorers go head-to-head when Alex Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals travel to Atlanta to take on Ilya Kovalchuk and the Thrashers. And, on January 11th, it's a battle between two of the top teams in the Western Conference, including the best in the West - Anaheim, as the Stars take on the Ducks in Dallas.

The January schedule also features coverage of one of hockey's best rivalries as Dominik Hasek and Nicklas Lidstrom of the Detroit Red Wings, square off against Joe Sakic and Milan Hejduk of the Colorado Avalanche on January 20th.

HDNet, a national high definition telecast partner of the NHL, is in its fifth year of NHL coverage following the same Thursday and Saturday schedule that has aired in previous seasons. HDNet may update this broadcast schedule so that the network will be able to feature the hottest players, teams and match-ups.

All NHL on HDNet broadcasts are original HDNet productions. HDNet NHL game broadcasts are shot exclusively for presentation in the highest-quality 1080i high-definition format, giving viewers all the benefits of a 16:9 aspect ratio and high resolution picture without compromising the image to serve a standard-definition, 4:3 broadcast audience.

The live broadcast schedule through January 31st, 2007 is listed at HDNet's web site. A complete schedule of programming, including encore presentations and additional games, as scheduled, is available at www.hd.net or at www.nhl.com. Schedule subject to change. Local blackout restrictions apply.
