NHL on HDNET??

Does anybody know if HDNET is showing NHL games this year?? If they are not,I'm getting rid of the HD extra pak. That's only reason I've kept it up to this point. All the rest of those channels on the extra pak are useless to me!!

If I recall right, HDNet is not part of HD extra pack, HDNet Movies is.
I thought I heard the other day on NHL Live that HDNet was not carrying the NHL this year. Kind of disappointing but as mentioned HDNet isn't part of the extra pack regardless.
From what I have seen online,it appears that HDNet won't be airing any NHL games this season.
IIRC,there was a thread started about this topic in the "Sports Programming & Events" forum on here a few days ago.
For those that are interested, here is the direct link to HDNet's home page to check out.

I just emailed Cuban to ask him and for those wondering he DOES indeed answer his email from average fans not just the big & rich boys.

:)
I can confirm that too.
Mr. Cuban (or someone within his office) has replied to a couple of e-mails for me in the past.
I sent another e-mail to his address the other day, asking about the NHL scenario, but,no reply from him at this time.

Mark has replied to me many times... and quickly... however, I emailed him twice weeks ago about the NHL on HDNet and never heard back from him... he must be bummed too and won't reply:nono2:

HDNet always did the NHL right... crisp, clear... and the "Sights & Sounds" was awesome.
I not really a NHL fan but am a MMA fan so I am happy by the news sorry.

he answered an email i sent him early last year when the hdnet hockey games were being blacked out by directv. these were games outside my region. he forwarded it to one of his execus who took care and resolved the problem for me.
It appears no NHL on HD Net this year. I checked my beloved Red Wings schedule and no games are scheduled. However I did notice that WGN HD will be having games this year. Just another reason for D* to hurry up and add this channel. I think I speak for everyone when I say hockey on WGN SD would be unwatchable.

yeah but the games will only be available in the Chicago Area. no games on WGN America. as the deal is for chicago viewers only.
I sent 2 emails to different individuals with HDNet about carrying the NHL games and no reponse here either. With the lack of response everyone is getting, it leads me to beleive that they are not. Below is a bookmark I had to the HDNet NHL page and it comes up with the dreaded "The page you requested could not be found". I rellay enjoyed the show they had where they profiled players and will miss that, I beleive it was called "Inside the NHL".

There have been past seasons where HDNET hasn't worked out their carriage agreement with the NHL until right at the start of the season, so they couldn't announce anything prior to that. I'm hoping that this is the case this year, and that this is why they haven't replied yet. Nobody does hockey better than HDNET, so I hope they're not on the ouside looking in this season.

I hope you are correct! I think everyone that is interested should send an email to Mark Cuban letting him know how much we want them to carry the NHL games!

They should have an HDNet Sports Channel, that would get alot of viewers, NHL, NBA,MLB, NCAA Football, NCAA Basketball, and the College World Series. As well as AHL, and CHL Junior hockey games Games of the week, Minor League Baseball, and the CFL. It would have tons of content and get alot of veiwers. However It would cost a ton to do that, but it sure would make the channel more valuable.

Whats Mark Cubans e-mail address? I'll send him some feedback, hopefully he scraps some of the re-runs for live events such as NHL Hockey and NBA Basketball
I know there were games last season. I didn't have DirecTV then, but I saw a Capitals game late in the season on HDNet at my dad's house.
