In many industries companies will do special/exclusive promotions with some resellers. Many times you'll see a rebate just with newegg or a coupon just with a certain store. It happens quite often. DirecTV may do a different promotion in the future...or if you're interested call DirecTV and see if they can't offer you something similar.

They did this for father's day, $.25 for a 4 hour block.

Yes, people still pay for porn, It is still a multi-billion dollar industry and will be for the foreseeable future. TV is free too, I bet everyone on this board pays for that.

The Playboy Monthly Order channel has switched to channel 589, leaving channel 590 still reading Playboy but with no content.

Maybe a precursor for Playboy HD on 590?
