It seems that for the past few weeks, a great many of the shows I watch have "No Information Available" for the episode description. The title, airdate, etc. are all there, but the descriptions are missing.

Is D* having some trouble with the schedule data provider, or is something else up?

That just means that the content provider didn't provide that information to Tribune Media Services, which DirecTV uses for this info. You can check Tribune's online site to see if the data exists.

Sometimes the details is there but the receivers are not properly displaying it. Two shows on TNT (The Closer, Saving Grace) displayed that for me. Canceling the showings on my To Do List then reselecting the same showings in the guide updated the descriptions.

I have noticed this a lot to, especially on cable channels... and whats really interesting, is that the same show thats on later in the week HAS its info... I.E. look at shows like in plain site or burn notice... First airing in a week, no info, but the ten repeats over the next week all have them..

If you're getting the name of the show but the description is "No Information Available", this is an issue with the content provider. If you are not getting the name of the show, it could be an issue with your DVR, dish or wiring.

I've been seeing this for quite some time but would expand it somewhat ...

There "once was a time" when every program consistently showed the same type of information in the same order, etc

For quite some time on my HR20 particularly for HD programming (SD equivalents are fine) and now for many other channels, the abbreviated summary at the top of the screen in the guide no longer shows the year, the type of program (comedy, drama, etc), actor list, and so on.

I think I first starting seeing it in the Pay Per View HD programming where the SD showings for the same film were ok.

This is not an issue with DirecTv not being sent the right info.

I'm seeing this as well on my HR-21. "No Information Available" on some channels (mainly HD), no show titles. Really screwing up my recordiings. The HR-20 upstairs does not have this issue.

I am not amused. Yet another HR-21 failure. I did a RBR about 30 minutes ago. I'm going to wait 24 hours to see if the guide data repopulates.

RBR cured the problem after 12 hours. We should NOT have to do this!
