I can get clear LOS to the main 3 satellites 99 101 and 103 but over 60% sure they won't be able to get signal from the 110 and 119. Will that affect my service at all or stop them from installing?
Edit: I am trying to get the premier package with HD channels adn they told me it would be a 5 NLB or whatever the 3 letter combination is dish.

For further analysis, at your location, the 110 is at 206 deg. mag. AZ., 41 deg. EL. The 119 is at 218 deg. mag. AZ, 37 deg. EL. Don't worry about the 110. But if you confirm that you have no LOS to the 119 satellite, you'll need a Slimline 3 (99/101/103) dish. If these are not now available in your area, they soon will be.

You could use a Slimline 5, but you'd either have to install it yourself or have a custom installer do it. In addition, you'd have to make sure that you parked your receivers' tuners every night on a 99 or 101 satellite channel to assure continuity of Guide data reception, since the 119 is the secondary source when the 101 is unavailable to the tuners because they are parked on the other side of the stack plan.

Yes, see if you can have them note that you need a Slimline 3 (or SL3) antenna & LNB because you know that a Slimline 5 will not work due to line of sight issues. SL3 are available if they are needed like in your situation, but the default is SL5 and what the installer is more likely to have.

I asked them if I could get a SL3 and the guy replied that I couldn't get HD channels if I did that. I told him I had done a lot of research that said the opposite of that and asked if he was sure that was true. He ended up putting in the notes to bring a SL3 to the install (which he called their 'normal' satellite and does'nt give me hope of getting it) along with a SL5, an hd dvr receiver and a regular dvr receiver b/c he wasn't sure about any of it. Hopefully the installer will see the note and bring a SL3... He would not change the order to SL3 but only put it in the notes.

SL3 is NOT yet available in all areas, so don't be surprised if the techs don't know what you're talking about and/or don't have them. National rollout isn't yet in effect, and even then, it can take several weeks before the supply ramps up enough that they are stocked up in all warehouses.
