No Olympic Guide

I see where I should push the red button on my remote and see a guide for the Olympics. However, nothing happens when I push the red button on my remote on any of my receivers (HR21 & two H21). What am I missing or not doing?

What channel are you on? What type of remote are you using? If it's a DirecTV remote, make sure the slider at the top is slid all the way to the left side..
I was able to get a pop up screen this morning when I pressed the red button...then, it just disappeared and hasn't work for the rest of the day.
As with most of the interactive stuff (i.e. NFLST, the PGA Championship stuff this weekend, etc.), if you press "Exit", for some reason that disables the interactive features. To "fix", you can go to the guide or playlist, then exit out, or tune to a different (non-interactive) channel and go back.

That's my experience anyway.

Does anyone know what channels are considered "interactive". So far, it only seems to be USA (242) that has the interactive functions working. I haven't been able to find a list of what channels are and are not red button capable.

750-756, which are mirrored versions of USA (750), MSNBC (751), CNBC (752), Oxygen (753), and Universal HD (756), as well as the location of the NBC Olympic Basketball Channel (754) and the NBC Olympic Soccer Channel (755).

P.S. Specific channel numbers are from memory, so might not be exactly right, but the 750-756 range is correct.

Thanks
hit and miss here too.. since I'm not a big sports fan I haven't used interactive much.. tuning to 751 and chanel up seems to wake it up most of the time..
I haven't had any problems with the interactive guide as of yet.
I have been stunned by the picture quality --- OTA NBC, & UHD.

What an exciting swimming race last night.

Yes, it was! I didn't see it last night, but thanks to my HR20, I saw it this morning.
BTW:welcome_s to DBSTALK!
Make sure you did not press "EXIT" when the initial thing came up saying the interactive stuff was available. This shuts it down for some reason. Press "Select" when it comes up and the interactive menu stays active.
Not just OTA - my wife and I have both commented that the picture quality on the 750 range of channels seems to be better than their mirrored counterparts.
Interesting comments about the PQ. For me, everything has been good except for the water events. Splashing water seems to just go fuzzy. I'm watching on a Sony 40S3000 which is 720p. Receiver is an HR21.

On my HR20-100 pressing "EXIT" in the Olympic Interactive App was up caused another issue. From that point on, the screen saver would try and pop up every 5 minutes while watching live TV on the Soccer Channel. I've learned that I have to use a second press of the Red button to "EXIT" the Olympic App and avoid this.
The interactive features seem to only work when that channel is actually showing Olympic coverage. (At least that seems to be the pattern.) When there is no coverage, it will appear that the interactive part loaded (the screen will flicker briefly, it will take longer to change channels, and caller ID will be killed), but nothing will pop up telling you to press the red button and the red button will not do anything.
Red button does not work also for Olympics . Hr20-100 universal remote with red button programed.
H20-600 Directv remote set to rf.
With my HR20, only channels 754, 755, 756 have the Olympic guide option.

This has been my exact experience too. Just go into the guide and then exit. Soon the interactive stuff will start working again.
I'm gonna go with give the recv the old hard reset. That'll fix it.
