I have a small problem with my HR20 (one of the first in 3 months)...

I never got the newest update (OxEB). I reset the box twice, nothing. Also, I tried the 0-2-4-6-8 code, nothing. When exactly do I put this code in? Is there some special timing? I tried it on a reset right when the box was re-starting.

Any help would be appreciated.

No... as of my last communication, the decision hasn't been made to go national with the release yet.

You could be patient and let it take it when it is ready.

I am wondering if forcing the downloads are causing some of the probloms people are having. I have never forced a download and my HR20 works flawlessly. No reboot or lockups.

Don't be so anxious to get it before it naturally downloads. The latest R15 release was cancelled based on feedback from early folks. Do you really want to be one of those early folks?

I too have never forced a download on my HR20 and have no problems with the unit, other than a dim LED that is driving me nuts, so maybe you are on to something here. Everyone should just be patient and wait for the updates.

All due respect to everyone, this just seems weird...every other update has come to my machine the night of it's release, and this one hasn't come yet (6 days after it's release). I dont' think 'being patient' was really what I was asking for advice on...it just seemed irregular that my machine isn't getting the update like it usually does.

Anyway...I'll wait and see what happens..

Any thoguhts Earl?

I am in the St. Louis market as well and neither of my HR20's have gotten the update yet so it is not just you.

The release thread has been very specific--only the PST time zone received this so far. They have not decided a national release is yet in order. So no one else has it. Also the previous update was spread over a period of 3-4 days.

Its only been 4 days, and nobody outside the west coast has it yet.

Sorry...

The last release was a staggered rollout as well, however... it went national the next evening (less then 24 hours later)...

This time around, they are waiting to see how the EB holds up over the weekend's activity.... as of right now, all indications is that it will go national on Monday.

OxEB hasn't really had much of an effect - positive or negative. I wouldn't expect too much from it...

You ain't in Kansas any more. :eek2:

HR20 users will learn the facts that updates will become less frequent and will take longer for everyone to get them. That's the exact same way it worked with the R15. For a while there were frequent updates, then they started taking longer. You've had a good ride, now you need to be patient.

Weekly Wednesday updates to everyone are a thing of the past. You HR20 users will now start seeing what the R15 users have been seeing for a year now.

For me, its a big deal because of the change with eSATA. I have a big drive that cant be used to it's size until this update. The rest of the fixes arent that big deal with me.
