I have a recurring manual recording set for Ch 204, every Mon-Fri, 5:00am, 30min (Central Time). As mentioned in other threads, last night it showed two entries for each morning's recording in the to do list. But it seemed to record OK.

While watching the recording, I decided to check the To Do list to see what was up. I pressed the
  • button, and the blue screen (with black bar and D* logo and the recording in the small window in the upper right hand corner) appeared, but none of the list data or associated controls (like the Tabs) appeared - below the black bar was just the blue background. Though the recorded show continued to play in the small window, the unit would not respond to any key presses on the remote, and I had to resort to the red reset button.

After the reset, I was able to play the recording normally, including calling up the guide and To Do list.

  • That's a good catch, and probably (as you surmised) another manifestation of the recurring manual recording bug. It seems single event manuals are more reliable.
