I've just recently starting getting the "Searching for Signal on Satellite ln 2...(771)" only on very specific HD channels. Some that I've found are NickHD, CNNHD.
I know there is a way to figure out which cable from the Sat carries these channels. Or at least which port on the multiswitch? anyone have ideas?

Since those are existing mpeg 4 hd channels they would have to be one of the tone lines. I don't think there is any way to tell if its the 13v or 18v since we don't have transponder maps for the ka sats yet.

Evens are all zero. Check your 110 and 119 signals and see if evens are zero on those also (all the active TPs on 110 are evens).

110 has 99 or 100 strength on transponder 8, 10, and 12.
119 starting at transponder 22 is 0 100 100 0 100 100 100 0 100 0 100

I also noticed test channel 493 and 494 show nothing...
So tell us more about your configuration. How many recievers/dvrs? Do you have a multiswitch?

Just three receivers. Only one in family room is HD, the HR20-100 which has this problem. Other two are older HR10-250's with upgraded HDD's. Those are fine. Dish lines run to multiswitch 5x8 and to the receivers.
I replaced the Bband converters and rebooted, didn't help. I'll call D* next see what they say.

Have you always had this problem with the HR20-100 or is it relatively new?

A 5x8 multiswitch? Thats probably your problem. A HR20 can only work with a wb68, wb616 or swm for a multiswitch. Get that replaced and it will likely solve your issue.

Called D*. they have technician coming out.... My only guess at this point is maybe a replacement WB68...
Probably a smart move. If you have the protection plan it can't hurt. Give us a full report when you know more.

Please do report back. I didn't want to pay to have a tech come out as my problem is with a channel on the new bird and I'm not yet convinced the problem is with my system.

Will do, just FYI he won't be out till Wed. from 8-12 window. If I find a spare WB laying around (which is possible) I'll swap it and try before then...

I am having similar problems only with different channels. I get CNNHD and NickHD, but not ESPNHD, and only on one tuner. I have a wb68 as well, so that's not the problem.
What are your signals on both tuners 1 and 2 for the 99(c) satellite?

You can bypass the WB68 with double-female "barrel" adapters and run your receiver straight to two of the dish lines to eliminate it as an issue. I'd recommend not using the 18V + 22kHz line as one of the dish lines, because that could be your problem.

The connector on that line does, however, need to be removed with a 7/16" wrench and inspected for looseness/corrosion, because even though it operates the 110/119 as well as the 103(c) evens, there's been quite a few folks who found that to be their problem. Don't know why that is, since if you disconnect it altogether, you'll lose the evens from all three satellites. But I've seen it myself that you can lose Ka's and not Ku's due to a loose/corroded connector. There's also the connector at the LNB end to consider, but you might want to leave that to the tech, if it's not the multi-switch.

Turned out must've been some lightning or something here in S florida (imagine that). First he tested the cables coming straight from the SAT and got zero reading off one of them. Since I have/had an older dish with side car he replaced with slimline dish. Then all the cables test fine except now after the wb68 was still bad. Replaced that now everything solid and have better signals overall than I was seeing before. I thought moving to a slimline would give me worse reception being smaller but so far so good.
Thanks for all your help and watch out for lightning. Protection plan paid off finally.
