a 622 with L512 software. A couple days ago, it started disabling duplicate recordings of a show.
The situation is, I gotta tape the soap for the wife, and we've been doing it for both the HD OTA local channel, as well as the SD Dish local channel. That way, if the local OTA isn't working well on a particular day, we still have the recording for the SD Dish local channel. Now I have to pick one or the other. Please put it back the way it was up until a couple days ago, thanx.

I've had this happen in the past also.

Something in your priorities may have changed by setting up some other recording. Try deleting both the OTA and SD timers for the Soap, and then set them again, setting the OTA first, and then check your priority list.

If you had L5.12 before this began, and you still have L5.12 now, it is not any software or update issue, it's something local within your timer setups.

Have you tried Restoring the timer that it wants to skip? When it asks if you want to record All Duplicates, tell it Yes.

This is working again, and the software version hasn't changed, so I don't know what to make of it...

and now today it is NOT working again today. Only got one of the two, and no other taping items around that time.
And, if I look at tomorrow Wednesday, one of the two has the line through it, saying it won't tape it because it's a dupe.
And software is still L512.

Assuming its not a dupe, follow the earlier suggestion of deleting the timer and adding it again.

OK, I deleted both timers, backed out of the menus cleanly, and then re-added them.
The second one shows "event skipped, duplicate event"

And I should add, recording both of these has worked fine for the last couple years, it just started having this problem.

Assuming its not a dupe, follow the earlier suggestion of deleting the timer and adding it again.
