my friend has a flat screen tv and a newer dtv ird and it works fine.when he plugs his older 232 ird in he gets nothing.the box works fine on his older tv.we tried rca jacks and regular cable but no good.anyone know why?thanks for any help

What resolutions are setup in the IRD.. some tvs don't like 480i..
