On Demand Interface is awful

Recently I decided to catch up on a show that I had stopped watching a few years ago. It's available On Demand (on HBO). I thought it would be fairly straightforward to watch. Instead, working through the interface on my 722k was irritating at best. Searching for the show was slow, and there's no option to pre-download an entire season of a show or evenseveral episodes at once.

It would be nice to have a checkbox scenario for a season. HBOGO online at least gives an easy option to add a season to a watchlist. I wish the DISH interface had something similar.:(

Yeah ... I never use the on-demand stuff through the DVR. I think Dish has done an excellent job designing and implementing the user interfaces for their DVRs. But, that's the one area where they really failed.

I have a little Roku box that I use for Netflix, HBOGo, EpixHD, and a few other streaming video sources. Most of the sources provide an interface (similar to Netflix's) which is simple and efficient.

I have access to HBO GO through a number of sources, for instance, XBOX. The only interface that is truly easy to use is online through DISH. With the XBOX I have to use the controller to select text, etc which is a pain. At least online it's a point and click affair.

Too bad DISH remote doesn't have a pointer!
On demand is good for finding a few things you may like and saving them for later. I clicked on eight AXS concerts, and they don't stream well until quite a lot has downloaded, so I just left it and all are in rentals folder now. Now they're easy to access and stream very well. I can see doing this with more stuff... but yes, much more difficult to maneuver than Netflix. Just wish you could access this stuff with Remote Access, it's on your DVR!
