Since we have no electrical power to our DVRs when we pull our home down the road I have to reset the 30 second skip on the HR34. On the HR24 the 30 second skip is retained with no power to the DVR. The power save turned off saves too. Fortunately there is no power save on the HR34.

Now if I could only turn off the screen saver.

That's why I have all my receivers on battery backups. This keeps them running for a little while anyway.

Even if the UPSs had enough juice for the time, I wouldn't keep those hard drives spinning while the house is moving anyway

You are right. That's what I get for not reading the whole post. I completely spaced on the camper part.

I think the issue is with the HR34 software & not the unit being off power. I've had to enter the "30SKIP" keyword search a few times since having mine activated last month. Hopefully when the HR34 gets the HDGUI software it will correct this & other issues.
