I see this on my HR20-100, and it is freaking annoying. Do I really need to see this message ever time I try to record something? Can the software not figure out that I have already seen that message?

There is a point when more information is too much info.

Is there a way to turn this notification off?

I'm also glad so there is a way to turn this off... Very annoying.... Too bad it doesn't default to 'off' after displaying 5-10 times...

I guess that solves that.

I have mine turned off on all but one unit, and left it on, because others in the household find it helpful.

yup, I can see how this would annoy some people .. I'm one of the people that like having that, but there may be a day when I turn it off.

Maybe it works better now? :lol: I mean if "Channels I Get" doesn't work, I really don't have much confidence in any sorting/filtering of the guide...

Yeah, but DIRECTV didn't really "announce" it to the folks playing along at home, and the other difference is that before, the option to hide SD dupes was lower in the DISPLAY setup screen. With this release, the option was moved to the 1st or 2nd position on the setup screen.
