I had Dr. Who set to record tonight on SciFi.

I had the program set to start recording two minutes early.


I came home to discover it had recorded...exactly two minutes.




I'm seriously considering going to DISH over this.

WHAT THE HELL?!?!?!?


because it screwed up the recording, I went to guide and set it to record the showing AFTER BSG.


Well, it's not even BOTHERING to record it! When I pull up Guide now, there's no 'R' in the listing anymore!!! The amber light's not on, either!


Called Retention, they sent me to tech support, who tried to talk me into REFORMATTING THE HARD DRIVE.


TO GET THE SOFTWARE UPDATE AGAIN!!!!!!!



That does it. I'm going to find a way to get out of this contract and go to Dish. D* can kiss my fat white arse. And I hope every single one of you D* employees and fanboys read this.

All they seem to do is complain!!

Once we replace all the HR20 owners with eggplants, this forum wil be much happier!!!!

Seriously though, if mcl (or any other user) thinks they can do better with another provider, best of luck to you. I had DISH for a while before D* and really didn't like it all that much. That was years ago, so I can't speak to their current performance, but there you go. I know our cable around these parts is HORRIBLE.

Granted, D* isn't really making points with most people right now given their product....

I had the original problem the OP described once about 3 weeks ago. I reset the box. It's been fine ever since. I'm sure glad I didn't have a fit and switch to dish network.
