Was the opening ceremony in DD 5.1? For the life of me, I could not get the rear speakers to fire up during the broadcast. In fact it seemed that just the McDonalds spots were the only ones that were in 5.1

In San Diego they were and as usual there was a lip sync issue

DD 5.1 in Los Angeles. No lip sync issue, but I did notice that the sound was lower than usual. I had to crank it up just to get to "normal" listening levels.

Yes, DD 5.1 with no noted problems...and the picture was beautiful (D* ch 392)...and the program itself was downright amazing...can't imagine how it will ever be topped.

I posted this over in the sport forum but does anyone know if the opening ceremonies are going to be replayed on any of the olympic channels? Seems as though I missed something very special as I was watching the Vikings - Seahawks PS game and the Twins-Royals game at the same time.
