I have (own) 3 receivers (4 tuners, since one is a dual tuner) - running off a dish with 500 quad switch. I want to replace my aging 7200 PVR with another dual tuner PVR, probably a 721 like my primary receiver. I also have a SW-64 switch currently unused.

Can I add the SW-64 switch to one of the existing switch feeds from the dish to gain the extra line I need? (replacing the 7200 with a 721 adds one more tuner and needs one more feed than I have right now) Any recommendations for a good (and preferrably cheap and easy) way to configure for 5 tuners?

On the receiver side, I'm guessing the best (maybe only) way to get a receiver now is on eBay. Does anyone have any recommendations to the contrary?

An alternate configuration which I am considering (would still require 5 tuners) would be to move the existing 721 to replace the 7200 - and get a dual tuner HD DVR. But I'm not sure that's a good move yet given the MPEG4 issues I heard about.

For a SW64 you would need all 4 feeds from a Legacy quad to give you 4 outputs so there would be no gain unless you wanted to add another satellite. Doing a dishin it up for either a 625 or a 622 would probably be the cheapest method of gaining your 5th output.

IIRC, he would have to change to Dish Pro to get separators for a fifth output unless he gangs a second SW-64 switch. What other receivers do you have as I think the 7200 will play only with a DPP-44, needed for the separators anyway?
