Where they would normally be a R in a cicle for recording I am seeing an orange circle with and X followed by a *. What does that mean?

It means that program is a conflict and it has the lowest priority so it will not record.

you have a conflict with another series recording or manual record. Check your to do list and see what other programs are conflicting.

It means that program is a conflict and it has the lowest priority so it will not record.

I thought the * indicated there was a scheduled recording of the same show later. Meaning this time slot will not record but another showing is scheduled to be recorded.
