Since it was brought up in another thread about who to contact, I though I would started a dedicated thread for posting OTA Channel Guide Issues.

Please keep this thread dedicated to posting only issues without commentary.:)

I will start:

Call Sign: WOWK
Location: Charleston, WV
Channel: 13-2
Issue: Channel missing from HR20 guide.
1 - 20 of 914 Posts
Location: New Orleans
Call Sign: WDSU
Channel: 6-2 "Weather Plus"
Issue: Missing from HR20 guide.

This channel has appeared correctly in "zap2it.com" and any other on-line guide I'm aware of for months.

DirecTV has yet to add it. WDSU claims they've done everything they know to do, and it's DirecTV's omission.

Just to note that it isn't wrong for everyone: 66-1 shows correctly on my two HR20-700s (I don't see a 66-6).
Call Sign: WEYI (NBC)

Issue: Incorrectly listed in guide as 55-1 instead of 25-1. SD subchannel at 25-2 comes in correctly.

Call Sign: WADL (Ind.)
Channel: 38-1

Issue: Incorrectly listed in guide as 17-4 instead of 38-1.

Ditto #2. Anyone from DirecTV looking at this?? IT IS NOT WDSU's FAULT/PROBLEM......IT'S DIRECTV'S INCOMPETENCE! D* should stop trying to shift the blame for this total incompetence to WDSU when they (WDSU) have done everything they should to implement this 6.2 listing. It only makes D* look like bigger a$$es than they are. :bonk1:
Call Sign: WJAC (NBC)
Channel: 6-1
Location: State College, PA
Issue: WJAC serves the Johnstown/Altoona DMA using RF channel 34 mapped to 6. However, this signal is unreliable in State College (a part of the DMA), so WJAC has put a translator which provides WJAC to State College on RF channel 42 mapped to 6. However, the guide will only look for WJAC on 34 and does not check for it on 42. This means people in State College and surrounding areas are unable to use the translator.

Just an fyi, I wrote to titantv.com and asked if they could list 6.2, because it was not there before. I just checked today, and 6.2 is now listed, but no programming data yet. [it was not listed yesterday].

Another person had mentioned on avsforum that perhaps getting 6.2 listed on titantv would solve the problem. So lets give it a week or two and see if it shows up in Directv database now.

Issues:
Channel 21-3 (KQRE-SD Telemundo) has moved to 39-2

Channel 39-1 (KFXO-HD FOX) has been added at 39-1

All of these channels are managed by KTVZ. These changes just happened at the end of July. The DirecTV OTA info does not reflect these new assignments.

I called KTVZ and they said they are still testing the changes and have not officially annoounced the changes. Really messes things up as you cannot get the new stations using the AM21 because the data does not exist yet! Way to go KTVZ.
Call sign: WEDH-DT
Location: Hartford, CT
Channel: 24-1
Issue: Channel missing from HR21-100 and HR21-700 guides. Channel is found in HR20 guide. This a PBS station that has recently gone "LIVE" with digital transmission.

I did a "half-way" workaround on my AM21s. I added area code 37620 as a secondary zip to the off-air antenna setup. This brought in a gaggle of channels, none of which I activated in the guide--except one: 39-1. The guide of course shows the relevant channel info for that zip (WEMT in Tennesse) which you have to ignore, but it at least allows the AM21 tuner to see Ch 39-1. FOX in HD! I also leave 21-4 on the guide (even though it is dead) because it is actually the correct program info for both 39-1 and 21-3 (FOX-SD).

I just searched the internet for CH 39-1 and then looked up their zip code.
Problem here recently. I think it might be with the station and will be contacting them, too.

DMA: Austin
Virtual channel: 14-1 (NBC station KXAM, a secondary transmitter for KXAN 36-1)

Issue: A couple weeks ago I reset the channel scan on my DTT-901 converter box and noticed that what used to show up as 14-1 on RF channel 27 now shows up as 36-1 on that box, which suggests an issue with the PSIP data coming from the signal on RF 27. In fact, it showed 36-1 twice.

Yesterday I reset the OTA channels on my D* HR20-700 and now when I select 14-1, there is no picture (I get "searching for signal" message 771). But when I go to the antenna setup, I get 90-95% signal on what it says is 14-1! It's as if the box can tell the signal for 14-1 should be on RF 27 and picks up a strong one, but when it tunes there, maybe it sees 36-1 on the PSIP and gets confused -- rejecting the signal?

The wrinkle is that channel 36-1 (KXAN on RF 21) is the identical NBC programming as on 14-1 (I get both well but 14-1 is closer). Seems to me that the signal from KXAM on 27 is confusing the box by identifying itself as 36-1?

Anyway, this is something for KXAM/KXAN's engineers, I suppose. I'll check with this, probably on Tuesday.

I have the same problem as the original poster (I see 66-6 and no 66-1) plus I have a problem with 3-5 instead of 3-1 as well ... I will do correct post with this one
