I talked to a DirecTV installer today (10/10). He told me there was an installers meeting this morning & DirecTV said OTA channels will be activated 12/1/06. He then said "knowing DirecTV, it will most likely be 1 or 2 months after 12/01".

Most likely. It all depends on how well the coding and testing is going for the OTA functions.

Mentally some consider me to be way past sick. If that counts.

I'm burning the magic oils here in hopes that we see OTA soon. Like this week. Id love to record OTA HD. Right now I have to switch to my TVs tuner to watch and have to sit thru those things that sell you stuff. I think they call them... advertisements?
