Did anyone else see this circular? It said the OTA has been enabled in "certain" locations. Do you think this is for real?

No...my bet is they got it all goofed up and were referring to HD Locals enabled in certain locations.

Perhaps their ad inserts are localized for different cities/states, but ours just says "Local channels in HD now available in select markets."

I thought I read somewhere (CNET?) that the OTA was gonna be rolled out from West to East - starting with the PST and MST timezones. Or maybe I'm confusing this with something else?

When it is enabled, it will be to all the HR20s at once.

Probably, but they do have the capability to target updates at least by time zone. I don't know how fine their control is when releasing to the public.

There is no OTA available on any HR20 running publically released software.
End of story...

Their "release" controls can be as fininite as one single unit.
Right now, they are releasing to all units at once.

But as the user base grows, they will start to do a staggared rollout that is typically based on time zone.

Just out of curiosity. It's not like it takes more bandwidth to have everyone download at the same time or just 1 person. Why do they stagger it? Do they have to add each card ID individually in the stream or?
