Here's what I get when I try to access AVSForum:

Temps d'accès au serveur expiré (erreur 504)
- Essayer de recharger la page web

- Retaper l'adresse dans votre navigateur

- Vérifier votre connexion internet

Over the last few days, there have been a variety disruptions over there. What's happening?:confused:

Not sure why you are seeing French, but there is a problem.

OK, AVSForums is back. You may need to clear your cache to get rid of the error response.

The problem was cleared up on 01-08-07, as predicted.

But today, I've lost my ability to access AVSForum. I get the following two small windows, one over the other:

=======================================================

File Download

Some files can hurt your computer. If the file information below looks suspicious. or if you do not fully trust this source, do not open or save this file

File name: AVSForum

File Type:

From www.avsforum.com

Would you like to open this file or save it on your computer?

Open Save Cancel More Info

========================================================

And if I click, "Open" I get this:

========================================================

Windows cannot open this file

File AVSForum[1]

To open this file, windows needs to know...(etc.)

=======================================================
And behind them, I get this full-page sized message:

=======================================================

Action canceled

Internet Explorer was unable to link to the Web page you requested. The page might be temporarily unavailable.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Please try the following:

Click the Refresh button, or try again later.

If you have visited this page previously and you want to view what has been stored on your computer, click File, and then click Work Offline.

For information about offline browsing with Internet Explorer, click the Help menu, and then click Contents and Index.

========================================================

So far, I've cleared my cookies, deleted all temporary internet files containing the three letter string, AVS, in their file name, and switched from always checking for a new page to never checking, to the default settings, to no avail.

I can access all the other satellite forums, with the sole limitation being that when I am on the Transmitter site, it won't allow me to list new posts since i last visited. it says I do n ot have permission to do that, but otherwise, I can do everything else that requires a log-in

It is working for me at the moment. Perhaps they rebooted again in the past 54 minutes.
