The problem was cleared up on 01-08-07, as predicted.
But today, I've lost my ability to access AVSForum. I get the following two small windows, one over the other:

So far, I've cleared my cookies, deleted all temporary internet files containing the three letter string, AVS, in their file name, and switched from always checking for a new page to never checking, to the default settings, to no avail.
I can access all the other satellite forums, with the sole limitation being that when I am on the Transmitter site, it won't allow me to list new posts since i last visited. it says I do n ot have permission to do that, but otherwise, I can do everything else that requires a log-in
