Just purchased a HR24-100 Owned in great shape (only used for 2 months) for $100. Could have gotten it cheaper but did not feel like wasting time for another $10 or $20 and possibly losing the unit to someone else.

There is a HR24-200 the Directv Employee wants $60 for. If I pick it up, will be the cheapest HR24 yet.
the dtv employee is not allowed to sell his or her hd dvr.

and i would be skeptical that a dvr for $100 wasn't leased.

It possible the DirecTV had owned equipment prior to working there or they had an older owned unit and then it died and was replaced under the protection plan and still own it or better yet they owned a HR24 from before the policy changed. I own a few HR24's myself.
i am aware of the policy change because of people who worked in ellen filipak's office who told me. goes back to a unit i bought from a former employee.

best advice is ask that employee for the RID and call access card department. you will find out in a hurry if you can buy it or not.
