Hey Guys,
I've had my HR20 since Oct and I been very happy with it so far. When I paused live TV yesterday and proceeded to unpause it, the picture was completely frozen on my screen and the remote was unresponsive. I powered the unit down using the power button on the front of the box and the TV program continued to play. If I paused live TV again it caused the same problem. I have tried this on a few different channels and I am able to reproduce it every time and it does not matter if its HD or SD.

I'm going to do a reboot of the system to see if this takes care of the problem. I called D*TV and they said they are aware of the issue and hope to have a resolution within the next month. Has anyone else experienced this issue, if so what did you do to resolve it.

YEs this is a pretty common problem, though I have only had it once sine 10B. RBR really seems to be the only fix for it.

last night during the Sugar Bowl, I actually had my HR20 freeze during LIVE TV. I had to do my first RBR in two months. Hope this is not a preminition of things to come. OH NO!!!!

This was a problem I had a couple weeks ago...rbr only helped for a day or so...download the software again via 02468 solved the problem for me for at least 3 weeks now.

Mine has completely stopped letting me use any "trick play" features during live TV and is getting the BSB for MOST recordings. My wife is pissed, says that it's no different than watching normal TV if none of the features work. I'm a bit more patient, but she's right.

I'll try downloading the software again and see if that helps.

I really don't want to Reformat, I just got the thing finnaly set up the way I want. Sheesh!

Reformat was the only thing that fixed it for me. And yes, it's a pain to do and re-setup the whole thing. A major pain.

But at least I can pause TV again.
