The easiest way to find out is to take it to somebody's house with an analog land line and let the DVR phone home.
Phiilips and no lan line
I just bought a Phillips DSR 704.
The guy i bought it from didnt know much history on the receiver,other than it had an upgraded hard drive (160gb)
I have it activated but it will not let me use the record option until it makes a call.
I do not have a Home Phone.
Is there a way for me to check and see if it has the hack done that lets it record without a lan line?
Or will i have to take it to somebodys house with a lan line and make a call.
it has 6.2 software on it.
