Is a phone connection still required for ordering if your receivers are connected to the Internet? What is the benefit of having a phone line wired in?
I believe we took a lightening hit that fried the jack (didn't hurt the receivers as the monster unit protected them) and I am debating trying to figure out how to fix it. Seeing caller ID is handy at times.
I prefer to use a cordless phone that has Caller ID on its display.
I thought Caller ID on the TV screen was a good idea, but it became an annoyance.
Especially with multiple spam calls coming in each day. And now with the political calls heating up it's getting really bad.
