I think it is just a bug. It has no meaning what so ever. Correct me if I am wrong.

Earl speculated it was just an overlay problem with the video. It doesn't happen all the time and doesn't affect performance (or lack thereof ) of the unit, so you can ignore it.

Yep, it just another bug. It's on the list of known issues noted in the threads at the top of this Forum.

It also affects the captioning though, which is a problem. Trying to read the pink writing is pretty difficult.

yeah there for a while i thought i was seeing pink elephants or leapy lee throwing little arrows my way gosh im old

Sometimes mine is pink sometimes its not there at all.

I have noticed it on the FF arrow. I also noticed it on the Cartoon Network logo when you turn to that channel. (top left corner) I can't imagine reading CC that color. That will mess with your eyes!!

It is one of the MANY problems with CC on the unit. In short, CC on the HR20 is a complete disaster, which D* refuses to acknowledge each time I call them about it.

Mine was pink today. Never noticed it before, so I have to assume this is the first time it's happened.

Consider yourself lucky, as this is the least troublesome of the MANY bugs in the software of this system. I can't wait until the beta test period is over, I am tired of reporting bugs to D*!
