Is there a way to share my music and picture files from my pc to the hr20 with out
an internet connection?

When I try to set up the network on the hr20 I get the no internet error...

I do not know if this has been posted. If it has , please direct me!!

Now you my ask why I do not have an internet connection,,--
Well I do. I have my pda (EVDO) connected to my pc for hi-speed internet.

Bob, given your signature, I hope you don't mind some "baby steppin' questions". When you say the network is setup on the HR20, can you describe the setup? Hub/switch, cables, how addressing is done between the PC and the HR20, etc. And on the PC side, what software are you running? Viiv, media center, Twonky? Are the processes for sharing up and running?

I don't think the HR20 needs to actually be successfully connected to the internet to make this work, but I could be wrong... If so, you could turn on routing inside your PC. Sometimes known as Internet connection sharing, ICS.

THX for the replies.

Everything is hooked to a Linksys wrt54g router.
I have the hr20 and the pc pluged in the router.
And only use a password for wireless networking.

The hr20 detects the router when I setup the network on the hr20 network settings, but stops and gives an error that there is know internet connection..
